The Expression Changes Of Progesterone Receptors And Estrogen Receptors In Periodontium Of Female Rat Undering Stimulations Of Orthodontic In Gestation Peroid | Posted on:2007-03-27 | Degree:Doctor | Type:Dissertation | Country:China | Candidate:M Zhang | Full Text:PDF | GTID:1104360185494583 | Subject:Oral and clinical medicine | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Background and subject: Pregnancy is an important physiological phenomenon of adult female patients. During pregnancy, there arc major changes in maternal calcium and bone metabolism and in bone mineral status. These changes are geared to meet the calcium needs of the fetus for skeletal growth and mineralization, and can be met by the mobilization of calcium from maternal skeleton through hormone mediated adjustment of maternal calcium metabolism during pregnancy. The sex steroid hormones are key components in the complex regulation of normal female reproductive function and also have importance impacts on bone physiology. They participate in the sexual dimorphism of the skeleton, play a role in maintenance of mineral homeostasis during reproduction and are essential to maintaining bone balance in adults. There are an increasing numbers of adult female patients seeking orthodontic treatment. The accomplishment of orthodontic treatment is relied on remodeling of periodontal tissues. And this remodeling is influenced by multiple roles include steroid hormones, local regulating factors and the oral system function. Inverse, the remodeling of periodontal tissue has a certain influences on organism internal environment. Therefore, it is necessary to study whether the orthodontic force applied during pregnancy would lead to the changes of maternal internal environment include skeleton metabolism level and mineral homeostasis, and whether the orthodontic treatment would...
