The study of myocardial protection is a key point for improving the development of cardiac surgery. Although proper result in myocardial protection has been generaly achieved at present by widely adopting cold potassium crystalloid cardioplegia and cold blood cardioplegia with topical Profound hypothermia, no satisfactary result has been found in cases with complex heart disease or poor cardiac function. In recent years the application of warm blood cardioplegia has been introduced into clinical myocardial protection and has proved to be a rather ideal method ; nevertheless its basic mechanism still lacks very detailed study.The present paper has shown the effects of myocardial protection of isolated rat hearts which were infused with different kinds of cardioplegia, and made to be arrested in the state of ischemia and absence of oxygen for 120 min. The result is as following, in those hearts were infused with cold crystalloid cardioplegia (CC group) and cold blood cardioplegia (CBC group), the heart rate ,left ventricular contraction pressure and cardiac output volume...
