Objective: To investigate the function and sifnificance of inflammation and VSMC apoptosis as well as its proliferation in the development and rupture of intracranial aneurysm, meanwhile, the mechanism of aneurysm were further elucidated by the establishment of aneurysm in rabbit. Methods: Establish the aneurysm in rabbit by the use of elastase. The density of medial VSMC were estimate by α-actin immune dyeing and observing pathological change of cerebral aneurysms in human and aneurysm in rabbit using transmission electron microscope and light microscope; The immune reactivity of P53, PCNA, CD68, and caspase-3 in human aneurysm were measured by immunohistochemical SP method; The gene expression levels of P53 in human aneurysms were determined by using real-time RT-PCR.Result: Transmission electron microscope show that chromatin condensation , cell shrinkage and cytoplasmic condensation as well as apoptotic body appearance of VSMCs in the human and rabbit aneurysmal tissue, while proliferation of a few cells can be observed. Different degree macrophage inflammatory infiltration appeared in every case of intracranial aneurysm(CD68 positive). Medial VSMC density in human cerebral...
