The tumors arised in sacrum with most common histological types of chordoma and giant cell tumor(GCT) is a relatively uncommon form of bone tumor and only takes up 1-4% of all bone tumor of the body. Theoretically, there are some other types of lesions in sacrum tumor including Schwannoma, teratorma, ependymoma and osteosarcoma, but it is very rare to see in clinical. The great clinical imprecate of sacrum tumor is that both chordoma and GCT are locally aggressive and the surrounded tissues, such as sacral plexus, sacrum and rectum are always invaded which makes it difficult to resect tumors totally and it is those inaccessible tumors will lead to high recurrence rate. Thus, the sacral tumors have been regarded as potentially dangerous. Many researchers point out that wide excision is the key to treat sacrum tumor, But for the tumors locating above S2, wide excision means to scarify part of sacral plexus which will cause...
