"Syndrome And Treatment(Recipe) Pharmacokinetics" Of Chuanxiong Pharmaceutics(CP): Scientific Evidences, Mechanism And Relationships Between It And Cardiovascular Effects.

About 2000 years ago, Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort(LCH) was used to treat blood stasis syndrome.LCH and its main component, tetramethylpyrazine(TMP) and ferulic acid(FA),have long been used for treatment of occlusive cardiac and cerebral vascular diseases in Japan and China.respectively.However, it is still unknown that what are chemical components in vivo after administering recipe of Chinese herbal medicine)(RCHM) and RCHM including LCH.and how "syndrome" (terminology on traditional Chinese medicine, TCM) state affect pharmacoki-netics. So far, the chemical components and their pharma-cokinetics in vivo are thought not to be detected and studied. In order to solve above problems,we put forward a new hypothesis of "Syndrome and treatment(recipe) pharmacokinetics" which consisted of syndrome pharmacokinetics(S-PK) and recipe pharmacokinetics(R-PK),and then elaborated its theoretic basis and important significance respectively.The present work cho-osed LCH pharmaceutics and blood stasis syndrome as examples, latter is one of the most successful studies in the field of syndrome essence,to test the above hypothesis.
