Taxus cuspidate Sieb.et Zucc.belongs,to the family of Taxaceae. Taxol is one of the most biological activities in Taxus cuspidate Sieb.et Zucc. It has strong and wide anti-tumor activity. It has low level of natural plants and there is no produce of wide scope by synthesize. So this article studied on Taxus cuspidate Sieb.et Zucc.of cultivated varieties. The experiment of the anti-tumor activity results confirmed that the part of extracted with 70% ethanol from Taxus cuspidate Sieb.et Zucc.had the effects of anti-tumor activity. The research shows that the part of extracted not only had the cytotoxic effects on the Bcap-37 cells, QGY-7701 cells, C6 cells, L1210 cells and K111 cells but also had effective inhibitive function on the rat's lewis cancer of lung, melanomata B16, cancer of colons 26,Sarcoma 180(S180) tumor. And with the increase in quantity, the effects of anti-tumor are increasing. When the quantity is 31.25mg/kg, there is no the effects of anti-tumor. But if combined with Taxinine, cyclophosphamide derivative, flucytosine, the effects of anti-tumor are prominence. The inhibition index is more better than (fa) 1,2 which calculated by Webb. The experiment also indicates that the anti-tumor activity of Taxus cuspidate Sieb.et Zucc.is higher than Taxol's effects of anti-tumor activity or they have the same effects. Chemical and pharmaceutical researches have been conducted on the part extracted with 70% ethanol from Taxus cuspidate Sieb.et Zucc. for the aims of further determining the active compounds and effect mechanism for anti-tumor activity. Eleven compounds have been isolated by silica G, ODS, Sephadex LH-20 and HPLC. There are ten compounds from this part and the structures of eleven compounds have been determined according to the chemical and physicochemical evidence (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, DEPT, 1H-1HCOSY, 1H-13CCOSY, HMBC, ESI-MS, EI-MS spectrum). Among them, nine known compounds were elucidate as Taxinine, Taxinine A, Taxinine M, Taxusin, 1β-hydroxy baccatinⅠ,α-Conidendrin, Naringerin, BaccatinⅢand Cephalomannine, respectively. Two new compounds were reported for the first time. These new two compounds were denominated as Cuspidataol and Taxacuspidatoside, respectively. In order to control the medicinal materials's quality, the author of this article has studied and established a possibly complete fingerprint of Taxus cuspidate Sieb.et Zucc.of cultivated varieties by the method of HPLC. Under such conditions as described above all the constituents of Taxus cuspidate Sieb.et Zucc. have been effectively separated and the established fingerprint can afford to reflect all the characteristics of the plant's medicinal constituents and successfully identify its cultivated varieties. Therefore it can be used as the basis for the quality control and classification assessment of this medicinal plant.
