Sengge Renchen was one of the notabilities in modern history of China. His family was relative to the Royal. As a faithful guardian,he stood up for the Qing Dynasty, which made the Qing governments teat him as one of the important minister. His main outstanding was to fight to the peasant revolting and the invasion of foreigners.These military actions shaped his life. As a bright political star during the late Qing Dynasty, Sengge Renchen’s behavior should not be out of the situation. To study Sengge Renchen should be combined to the social background, which is the principle of the article. The article consists of five chapters, each chapter is as follows.the first chapter structures an overview of Sengge Renchen’s career life, by the ordinary soldiers, working with colleagues, enemies, and the Mongolian people, to show the his characters. What’s more, I investigate Sengge Renchen’s family lineage followed the four title inherited clues.The second chapter is to study Sengge Renchen’s military actions to fight to Northern Expeditionary Taiping Army. I am study to this period of history standing in Sengge Renchen. Mainly researching Senggelinqin’s mistakes in strategy and tactics and the main victory factors.The third chapter discusses the performance of during the Second Opium War. As the military leader, Sengge Renchen took part in the second Dagukou battle and strike the Anglo-French allied troops heavlily. I am to study the main victory reasons of the battle. Sengge Renchen made two fatal mistakes the Followed battle at the Dagukou,so the Battle was lost. During the Second Opium War, Sengge Renchen’s attitude to the enemy was not consistent. At first,he insisted on hitting enemy firmly, however, his attitude had been changed and tried to draw a match with the Anglo-French allied troops later.As an important minister of the Qing Dynasty, he had been one guardian of the Dynasty system firmly.The fourth chapter discusses the war between Sengge Renchen and the Nian Army. At first, Sengge Renchen could change strategic decisions with the war situation. So captured the Nian Army base and caught the chief Zhang lexing. Miaopei Lin is a key figure. He has a close relationship with the Qing Dynasty,the Nian Army, the Taiping Army. By understanding the relationships, we could realize the many information. Because Sengge Renchen didn’t realize the changes of the new Nian Army, he lost the war and died of the reasons.The fifth chapter is to study the relationship between Sengge Renchen and the Qing Dynasty. First of all, I analyze the changed policy of the Qing Dynasty toward Mongolia. Sengge Renchen was a special case In the declining situation of Mongolian princes’position. He was still favored. There were many reasons, however the main reason was Sengge Renchen’s contribution to the Qing Dynasty.
