A Brief Approach To Zhou Shengchuan And Sheng Army

So he was famous as a general who treated Soldier and farming equal during the period of the Restoration in Qing dynasty.This paper mainly analyzes the outstanding achievements during Zhoushengchuan's lifetime and the development of Sheng Army in order to inspect Zhou Shengchuan and Sheng Army comprehensively.The whole article is divided into the following four parts:First, this chapter focuses on how the Sheng Army is formed. This chapter presents a thorough study of the forming process,the features of Sheng Army, and analyzes the position of Sheng Army in Anhwei Army.Second, this chapter mainly discusses the battles between Sheng Army and Taiping Army. The writer selects a typical campaign—Changzhou Campaign to do a comprehensive research to try to discover Zhou Shengchuan's military skills and the performance of Sheng Army during their combates with others. Zhou Shengchuan together suppressed the Twisting Army. Besides fighting against Taiping Army, Zhou Shengchuan and Sheng Army's combat career is to suppress the Nian Army.
