This paper containing several studies based on a series of Chinese colored woodcuts (Hui Zhen Tu) created by Min Qiji in the Museum fur Ostasiatische Kunst in Cologne. An attempt will be made, using text and illustrations, to give an exhaustive account of several leaves and to provide the reader with sufficient information so that, he may acquire a wider understanding of the series of woodcuts and the history. This paper focuses on four questions:first, the date of Hui Zhen Tu; second, the binding form of Hui Zhen Tu; third, the source and tradition of the images in Hui Zhen Tu; fourth, the Ideological sources of Min Qiji. This paper also discusses the trend of publishing and woodcutting in Late Ming Dynasty.
