Research On Yunnan Out-of-print Woodcuts

Yunnan out-of-print woodcuts emerged after the reform and opening up.Through the efforts of printmakers in Simao area,the works are not only based on the traditional culture,but also integrated into the western modern art.Its unique local language can not be replaced by other prints.This paper takes the local language of Yunnan out-of-print woodcuts as a research point,firstly expounds the rise of Yunnan printmaking and the general situation of the development of Yunnan out-of-print woodcuts.Yunnan printmaking groups,which are linked by region and tradition,rose,popularized and developed in Yunnan in the early 1980 s.Secondly,due to the local geographical characteristics and the nourishment of national culture,Yunnan out-of-print woodcut native language began to form.Among them,the specific presentation of local language in Yunnan out-of-print woodcuts reflects the unique expression techniques and artistic language of Yunnan out-of-print woodcuts.Under the influence of Western modernism,the painter’s consciousness of individual subject creation is enhanced,and the local language presents diversified features in the out-of-print woodcuts.Yunnan out-of-print woodcuts have embarked on the road of diversified development.In my personal creation,I take the print type as my creative direction,and practice the local language in the out-of-print woodcut creation,so as to find my own creative style.
