ObjectiveThe traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism is an entire new form of tourism, it is the combination of traditional Chinese medicine culture and tourism, it is a concrete manifestation of the new format of tourism industry expansion, and it is also a good platform for promoting^ displaying and spreading traditional Chinese medicine. In 2009, Guangdong developed traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism in China for the first time with great influence all over the country. Now domestic research on traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism is insufficient, and let alone on the regional traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism. This research focuses on the definition of the concept and the summary of the regional tourism developing experience and puts forward some concrete suggestions of development, and there is also some research on the tourism development base^ resources and market.Huizhou is one of the most potential areas in Guangdong province to develop the traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism, it has a good ecological environment (good air quality, pleasant climate, good water quality, etc) and the social environment of health-preserving atmosphere (the most healthy city in Guangdong, also highly ranked among the national healthy cities, the happiest city of China in 2014, top ten livable cities, China’s safest cities). Huizhou has plenty of the traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism resources with distinct characteristics. At present we have not found specific research on the development of traditional Chinese medicine culture in Huizhou, so there has all kinds of possibilities. The purpose of this paper research is to explore specialized medicine culture and health-preserving tourism development policy for Huizhou.MethodsThe main research methods used in this paper are literature research, field research, hearing reports and questionnaire method.ResultsThe biggest advantage for Huizhou to develop traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism lies in its human culture atmosphere, and fully excavating human culture resources is quite important for setting up brand of the regional traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism. Ge Hong was one of the most well-known doctors of Ling Nan area of Jin Dynasty and also one of the ten great ancient Chinese doctors for his great contribution on the medical skill of the traditional Chinese medicine, health-preserving and Daoism. His wife, Bao Gu, was the first female moxibustion expert in ancient China, she has also made certain contribution on the development of the pharmacy of traditional Chinese medicine. In Northern Song Dynasty, Su Dongpo was not a Chinese medicine scientist, but he was very skilled at keeping good health through traditional Chinese medicine and had an in-depth study of traditional Chinese medicine and its theory, and his health-preserving achievement proved to reach the pick in Huizhou. To summarize their contribution on health-preserving and their Chinese medicine pharmacy achievement will be the focus of studying traditional Chinese medicine health-preserving tourism resources in Huizhou.This paper mainly digs deep into Huizhou traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism humanity resources, analyzes the market characteristics of the current situation of the development of Huizhou traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving, and develops more comprehensive perspective for the development of Huizhou traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism. We should make a string of beads into chain by basing in Huizhou and radiating outwards; build the brand of the traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism with Huizhou characteristics, increase publicity and cooperation, broaden the source, enhance the management, cultivate talents and ensure the concrete development strategies for sustainable development.This paper systematically summed up Ge Hong’s health-preserving thoughts, including mental health-preserving, physical health-preserving, way of being immortal, medication application, and methods of consumption control (including specific way to control it). Some other specific health-preserving methods and their medical contributions (including his wife Bao Gu’s contributions in moxibustion). This paper systematically summed up Su Dongpo’s health-preserving thoughts, including mental health-preserving, dietary health-preserving, drug regimen, health-preserving by living a relaxing life (for example, engaged in poetry and painting, health-preserving, tourism and tea tasting etc.). This paper also summarized achievements of TCM related health-preserving by regulating living style and practicing Qi Gong and so on.ConclusionResearches on Huizhou traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism development, especially those focusing on mining humanity resources of traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism (because they are important and decisive factors for Huizhou to set up the characteristic brand of traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism), can enrich the research means and methods of traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism and provide theoretical reference for other regions. Research on Huizhou traditional Chinese medicine culture health-preserving tourism development has enriched Huizhou tourism form and is of great significance for enhancing the overall competitive strength of Huizhou tourism and the popularity of Huizhou.
