In recent years, China’s dairy industry facing challenges, the rapid growth of production slower, the trade deficit expand, the dairy competitiveness has become the foucus of the scholars. Reframe the review of the literature on the competitiveness, this paper from the three elements, competitor, object and competition results, subject is the different regional, the different scale and the the world dairy production power, competion object mainly relates to factors of production, quality, the fresh milk product sales market and the international dairy market, combined to the research framework "process result and factors". According to this research ideas, interpreting the root causes of competitiveness in the process of dairy production and marketing: the first, to use stochastic frontier production model to calculate different regional and scale factor of production technical efficiency, found that dairy input and output was technical efficiency loss, concentrate, silage, management fees, have positive effect on production, labor, dry roughage and capital inputs have negative effects; Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Shandong, Heilongjiang fresh milk production inputs have stronger competitiveness; 50-100 scale farms have higher production technical efficiency, the efficiency of production factors strongest competitiveness; The second is the quality of raw milk, using comparative analysis method, compativing the milk fat rate, protein rate, stomatic cell, the quality of milk in ascension, the big scale cultivation is more dominant. The third is using of improved the original dual model of solow residual value of raw material market purchase and fresh milk sales market calculation, found in fresh milk sales market and feed markets are not strict perfect competition and monopoly market, fresh milk sales market tend to be more perfect competition market, feed purchase market forces market increased, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang dairy in terms of fresh milk sales market competitiveness is weak, feed purchase market forces changed little, scale level of ascension to strengthen raw milk sales market competitiveness. Fourthly, using the market share, trade competition index and shows the competitive advantage index of liquid milk, milk, yogurt, respectively calculate whey, butter, cheese and dairy products, the international competitiveness is weak and gradually declinng, especially powder products less competitive. In order to study the influence factors in all aspects of the dairy industry, using porter’s "diamond model", respectively, from the cost of production, price, production base and advanced factors of production, domestic demand for dairy products market, feed processing, such as auxiliary industry organization mode of operation, such as policy and the opportunity for comprehensive analysis, dairy production shortage of per capita resources, low production efficiency, high cost, backward industrial organization model, supporting policies to the factors such as is one of the important factors lead to overall competitiveness is not high. Finally, puts forward improving the efficiency of dairy production technology, reduce the production cost; Advocate moderate scale cultivation and realize management benefit maximization; Guide the breeding pattern in different areas, make full use of local resources; Improve the industrial chain of profit distribution mechanism, enhance the risk resistance ability of the industry; Reasonable use of international markets and resources, accurate positioning the domestic dairy industry development measures such as advice.In this paper, the innovation is the research paradigm from "result + factors affecting" extended to "process + result + factors affecting", the research content includes "quality", "quantity", "market power" and "international market position", etc., and the dairy products are detailed classification, deeply analyzes the root cause of China’s dairy industry competitiveness factors.
