The economic structure is not reasonable, the gap between regions, between urban and rural are still large. Economic and social development are not balanced, and most small and medium-sized enterprises in Xinjiang are still engaged in labor-intensive, low added value of traditional industries. Years of extensive economic growth mode not only wastes a lot of valuable resources, but also makes new environment worsening in the territory, this undoubtedly makes itself in Xinjiang conditions worse. In this background, in the country to speed up the transformation of the mode of economic development in the big environment, the autonomous region government actively formulate and implement the strategy of economic development mode change in order to reduce the pressure on resources and environment and promote economic and social sustainable development. Finance is the core of modern economy, having powerful force, penetration and driving force in the development of economy. The financial development has become one of the important indicators to measure a country’s economic growth speed and social civilization degree in the international community. Change of economic development way is closely connected with financial support, and the structure of financial supply and the service level drive the pace of the transformation of economic development patterns to a great extent. Firstly, on the basis of the related research at home and abroad, the transformation of the economic development pattern and financial support concept is defined, discussing the financial support for the theoretical foundation of the transformation of economic development patterns and mechanism. Secondly, the present situation of the pattern of economic development in Xinjiang, the present situation of the economic development mode change in Xinjiang, the present situation of the financial development and financial support in the change of economic development in Xinjiang are analyzed according to detailed data. Thirdly, VAR model is used to evaluate the general effect of the financial support to the change of the pattern of economic development in Xinjiang, and to measure the effect of financial support to adjustment of industrial structure upgrade, demand structure change and promoting scientific and technological innovation capacity in Xinjiang. Fourthly, combined with the above research conclusion, the problems of Xinjiang financial support existing in the transformation of economic development patterns are diagnosed and analyzed respectively from the aspects of banking, securities and insurance. And narrowing the gap between regional economic development, promoting the system construction, strengthening the financial innovation of enterprise, financial supervision, and personnel training and other aspects in the change of economic development in Xinjiang’s financial support system of safeguard measures, so that the finance can play a better support for the economic development mode change, promote and promote role in Xinjiang, eventually achieve the goal of change of the pattern of economic development in Xinjiang.
