This paper chooses the relationship between population and the economic development level of some typical cities of our country as the research object. It illustrates from the perspective of consumption needs, adopts the methods of standard research and empirical analysis, provides new theoretical analysis framework for the development of urbanization, constructs urban population-economics relationship model of our typical cities by means of statistic software such as SPSS and EVIEWS, probes how to make certain regional urbanization faster than natural process through the political prioritize investment under the capital restrain, fills in the gap of the theoretical blanks of this field and provides references for promoting urban economical developments by the consumption of urban population consumption.This paper differentiates the conceptions of city and town, perfects and redefines the urbanization, suggests that the convergence of population centralizes various consumption needs then promotes the development of urban economics. It introduces the variables of consumption needs to demonstrate the main reason of social economic development acceleration and social life changing is the breaking increment of consumption needs.On the basis of clarifying industrialization-urbanization development relationship theory, this paper suggests the priority of urbanization is the agricultural surplus(agricultural products surplus and rural labor surplus), industrialization accelerates the process of urbanization, this acceleration realizes through transition from agricultural production elements surplus to cities by means of interests driving. In the stage of metropolitanization, urban population reaches certain quantity, satisfies the demands of certain products or service offers market level, the new type of consumption needs will turn to realistic supplies. Local governments of Guangxi should devote in develop Nanning, Liuzhou, Guilin, Wuzhou in priority, fostering Nanning a metropolitan as the leading horse, accelerates the process of urbanization in Guangxi, shortens the gap with the average level of urbanization of our country.
