Research On Cotton Straw Resource Utilization Potential In Xin Jiang

Resource and environment problem is one of focuses that the world currently pays attention to. Realizing sustainable development of economy, society and ecology by utilizing limited resources and being not at the cost of damaging environment is an important topic for discussion that numerous countries especially developing countries face. In circular economy system, sustainable utilization and sustainable output of resources are the keys of whether circular economy can develop healthily and rapidly. Meanwhile, they are the key nodes of which developing countries realize their friendly resource development. Cotton straw has long been recognised as a kind of renewable resources, and numerous scholars have carried out a large number of discussions towards its utilization. Since 1990 s, the barycenter of spatial distribution of cotton planting has shifted to the northwest region of China. As one of China’s major cotton producing areas in xinjiang, the number of cotton straws as by-product is relatively stable and huge, and the carbon emission in its treating process can’t be underestimated as general agricultural waste,. If cotton straws which are huge in quantity are endowed with resource attribute, there is no doubt that it will generate positive impact on local society, economy and ecology at the time of reducing carbon emission. Due to the differences of regional society, economy, culture, the degree of resource utilization of cotton straw is not the same. In the process of cotton straw utilization, different utilization modes have influence on natural, social, economic and ecological benefits. And evaluation researches on cotton straw resource utilization potential within regions are relatively deficient and mature potential discrimination system has not formed, yet.Based on the results of predecessors’ research in straw resource utilization, the research takes XinJiang as the research region. On the basis of cotton straw utilization technology being comprehensively arranged at the present stage, it takes sustainable development theory,law of diminishing land returns, ecological economic principle and grounded theory as theoretical basis, describes and concludes status quo of cotton straw resource utilization in Sinkiang with qualitative research approach. It has not only constructed evaluation index system based on SWOT by utilizing factor analysis method and analyzed its potential, but also launched analysis on Sinkiang’s cotton straw resource utilization potential based on panel data and from the perspective of biomass. The paper also makes corresponding discussion towards the relationship between coordinated coupling development of the two and cotton straw resource utilization potential from the perspective of internal and external factors influencing cotton straw resource utilization potential. Through qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis on a series of related essential data of its potential, it discovers regional difference and variation trend of cotton straw resource utilization potential in Sinkiang.Through analyzing existing problems in cotton straw resource utilization in Sinkiang’s different regions, it puts forwards ten kinds of development modes of cotton straw resource utilization in Sinkiang combining with analysis results on region discrepancy of cotton straw resource utilization potential and makes corresponding analysis on modes which are suitable for different regions to adopt pertinently in order to realize scientific, efficient and orderly development of cotton straw resource utilization in Sinkiang.The results show that first, Sinkiang’s agricultural basis is good, but planting industry and animal husbandry haven’t reached higher-order coordinated development stage. As feed application has always been the most important way for realizing of the cottton stalks resource. the potential realization of cotten stalks resourse is to a certain extent influenced by the degree of coordination between Planting and Animial Husbanding, Second, the potential of Sinkiang’s cotton resource utilization is great, but its use degree is limited and concentrative degree of cotton planting area is weak. Third, there are many technique varieties to realise the cotton straw resource utilization, but realistic productivity conversion rate is low.Fourth, people have a strong will to utilize cotton straw resource,however they lack market platform, ideas and policy support. According to the conclusion and combined with Sinkiang’s reality, it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions from circular agriculture angle and the angle of the potential development of cotton straw resource utilization respectively: 1 To ensure the realization of internal coordinated development of agricultural resources and agricultural economy; 2 To strengthen policy guidance, to popularize advanced scientific farming technology and to develop sustainable agriculture; 3 To step up the pace to realize the regional agricultural transformation and reduce the dependence on agricultural resources; 4 To emphasize on cultivating the construction of cotton straw industry chain; 5 To adjust agricultural industrial structure and develop circular agriculture; 6 To deploy cotton straw resources reasonably and efficiently and increase the output of cultivated land unit; 7 To increase education propaganda and strengthen the construction of market environmental awareness on either side. To quicken Sinkiang’s cotton straw resource utilization process through macroscopic policy regulation in order to realize cotton straw transformation from crop waste to agricultural renewable resources.
