BIOMASS is a renewable energy, and its environmental-friendly attribute has attract many countries including attention, including China. So far, China has put BIOMASS developing into national development plan. And many companies were founded due to this. However, making a proper plan is very important for newly founded companies.Now many countries has setup related policies to support BIOMASS energy development. Compared with America and Europe countries, China has fallen behind a lot in this area, which caused biomass energy became a shortage in China's energy composition. Since 1979, Chinese economy keep high-speed developing which also caused serious environmental pollution and energy shortage problems. And this already caused the attention of government, so in the 12 th five-year five-plan, biomass development was firstly brought into the national development plan. And this push BIOMASS developing become a big potential market. And TDNY company was found under this background. TDNY focused on biomass boilers research and produce, and biomass fuel production, storage, supplying. So far TDNY company is cooperating with HIT institute to research and develop advanced biomass boilers and combustion technology. At present, the company is at the early stage of development, in the face of the huge potential market, and strong competitors, TDNY needs to make effective and clear developing strategy. Through strengthening the cost management and the core competitiveness, making best use of its own advantages, and win its place in the biomass energy industry in China. In this article, through analyzing the present situation and problems of biomass energy industry at home and abroad, as well as the problem that the TDNY company are facing in the biomass industry. Based on Michael porter's competitive strategy theory, using the Potter Five-Force Model, and research tools such as PEST, SWOT, and IEF methods to analyze TDNY's external environment, and industry environment, and find out the challenges, threats that TDNY currently facing in biomass industry, based on the result of analyzing to choose the suitable competitive strategy for TDNY.
