With the strengthen of economic integration and economic globalization, industrial clusters plays an increasingly important and irreplaceable role in the development of countries and regions. The development of industrial clusters directly influences the stability and development of countries and r egions. Therefore, many scholars, institutions and government departments at home and abroad pay a great deal of attention to the research of industrial clusters. However, the healthy development of industrial clusters is the reflection of enterprises with in the cluster at the micro level combing comprehensive reflection at the macro level. In turn, healthy development of industrial clusters will promote the development of enterprises in the cluster through its cluster effect. Therefore, they have become problems of common concern academia and industry industry that what is the nature of the cluster is, how industrial clusters affect the development of enterprises, and how companies should rely on themselves to achieve the development of industrial clusters. On the basis of existing domestic and international research, using a systematic study as research perspective, relying on complex system theory, chaos theory, dynamical systems theory, by establishing chaos model, structural equation model and system dynamics model to reveal the nature of complex systems of industrial clusters, this paper tries to clarify specific path affect performance of industrial clusters, and gives enterprises recommendations relying on industry clusters to achieve their own development.Firstly, on the basis of review and summary about existing literature, this paper defines the meaning of a complex system and chaotic system, makes deep analysis from three aspects that constitutional characteristic of industry cluster systems, structural features of enterprise within the cluster system and the systematic evolution feature of the industry cluster. By comparative analysis, this paper reveals the fact that industrial clusters are complex systems from a qualitative point of view, and analyzes systematically the impact of industrial cluster on corporate performance from three aspects that the interaction of industrial clusters between enterprises, the effect of cluster to enterprises within this clusters and the role of industrial clusters affect enterprise performance, in order to build a system cluster analytical framework on the perspective of the effct of cluster to business performance, and provides a new perspective and entry points for the research and practice on industrial cluster.Secondly, this paper reveals the essence of industrial clusters which belonging to chaotic system. On the basis of clarifying that industrial clusters belong to complex systems, further using methods of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, this paper demonstrates the fact that industrial clusters belong to chaotic systems. It qualitatively illustrates the chaos nature of industrial clusters from the Chaos characteristics of Industrial Cluster. It proposes two methods to quantitative verification of industrial clusters belonging to propose two chaotic systems using Lyapunov exponent method and Wolf Method both from stationary time series and time series phase space reconstruction. And in empirical case of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Industry Cluster, by way of empirical method to validate the nature again that cluster belongs to chaotic system. After the simulation on the co-evolution between enterprises within the cluster structure, we imitates the most typical insect population model within chaotic system to enhance the chaotic system in the cluster applications.Thirdly, we build indicators system about how industrial clusters affect corporate performance. Based on the fact that industrial clusters are essentially chaotic system, starting from three aspects that the theory of chaotic systems, from the description of indicators of industrial clusters, as well as corporate performance indicators described control targets to establish the index system table on how industrial clusters affect the performance. And from chaos theory, we propose basic assumptions that industrial clusters affect the performance of enterprises, and constructs structural equation model that industrial clusters affect corporate performance. By making empirical objects as Shanghai Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry cluster, screening the main factors cluster impact on business performance through empirical analysis.Finally, we analyzes the impact pathway of system dynamics on firm performance based on the theory of industrial clusters. And by the establishment of causal graph model about how industrial clusters affect the performance of the system dynamics, we do a detailed study on one of the positive and negative feedback loops. On the basis of a clear recognization that clust er belong to chaotic systems, we assort the industrial cluster environment into three subsystems, that is, external resources, the scale of development and research and innovation capacity. We make a note of the relationships among variables and the feedba ck pathway among them, and then build a flow diagram of a system dynamics model. Making empirical objects as Shanghai Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry cluster. We build the system dynamics model of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Enterprise Performance. To make sure the validity of the model, we conduct a visual test, stability test, history data test, and make simulation on how external resources environment, the scale of development, research and innovation ability influence business performance within industrial clusters, and finally make clear the impact pathway of cluster on firm performance. In the end, we propose specific policy from three levels, the government, clusters, business enterprises, to make recommendations to improve their performance, optimization and upgrading of industrial cluster relying on industry clusters.
