Sintered ores is the main raw material for blast furnace, with the technologicaladvances in the development and equipment manufacturing, sintering equipment isadvancing continuously to large-scale, automation, and the requirements to metallurgicalproperties of sintered products are increasingly increased. However, the belt sinteringmachine has not been effective improving in working conditions, such as pallet car wear,short life, arching, sintering system air leakage, low sinter yield, poor quality, whichdirectly affects the operating rate of blast furnace. To solve these problems, researchworks were carried out as follows:Firstly, the basic composition and the basic parameters of key components ofsintering machine are introduced, including effective sintering area, front and back wheelcenter distance, car number and machine speed, wind box layout, and running track andcurved channel and so on. Aimed to pallet cars speed fluctuations, introduces designideas of new front and back wheel, analyses meshing law of sintering machine sprocketwheel with pallet car wheel, new tooth profile motion equation meeting the operatingconditions of sintering machine is constructed, kinematics analysis is carried out, a newcomposite tooth profile curve equation is established. Combined with the3D modelingsoftware, curve geometry features of composite tooth profile is discussed, has been moresatisfactory results.Secondly,temperature characteristics of back sprocket wheel is analysed, bysimplifying the model, distribution temperature function and thermal stress distributionfunction of sprocket wheel base circle is derived under the condition of one-dimensionalheat conduction. Without considering material properties, residual stress and other factors,effect of temperature change to tooth profile curve is analysed, thermal deformationcurve equation of composite tooth profile is got based on displacement expression ofbase circle after thermal deformation. To compare the effects of thermal deformation totooth profile curve, the concept of thermal deformation error is introduced, get thethermal deformation error expression, describes quantitatively deformation extent of composite tooth profile caused by temperature change, for the example calculation andfinite element simulation analysis, temperature field contours, stress field contours anddisplacement of composite tooth is acquired, which verified the accuracy of theoreticalcalculations, provide a reference for discussing system impact, solutions of speedfluctuations and the repair of sprocket wheel manufacturing process.Thirdly, the sintering machine's sprocket wheel shaft design is studied, applying thecalculation theory of interference fit, the calculation expressions of stress distribution,deformation, contact pressure and other parameters of connection shaft, by finite elementmethod, establishes a three-dimensional simulation model and gets the stress distributionof connection and the contact pressure distribution on mating surface. thermal assemblyand torsion test is made, these provide an experimental basis and numerical reference forthe future industrial application of sprocket wheel shaft.Finally, the mechanical analysis of sprocket wheel and lower pallet cars is carriedout, arching mechanical reasons and proposed solutions is found, mathematical model isestablished, developes the hydraulic torque loading device, and discusses its structure andworks principle. the factors of system vibration and noise is analysed, and the relevantcountermeasures is given. Using AMESim software to simulate the system, a detailedanalysis of the hydraulic system pressure, flow characteristics is accomplished, gets themotor pressure curve in each set pressure, displacement simulation curve of pilot reliefvalve, pressure pulsation and flow curve of relief valve and line. Compared pressure,flow simulation map before and after optimization, the solutions to eliminate vibrationand noise is found. The effectiveness of the accumulator near the motor mouth and theadditional damping system installation is verified, which have a certain reference valuefor the industrial applications of hydraulic torque loading device.
