As the main manufacturing equipment which produces the blast raw materials, thebelt-type sintering machine develops with the development of the modern steel industry.This paper focuses on the velocity fluctuation and arching which exist in the movementof the traditional belt-type sintering machine, and these defects affected the quantity andquality of sinter seriously. During the past30years, the study on the widely usedtraditional sintering machine was very limited. Therefore, this research has importanttheoretical significance and economic value.The subject relies on the National Natural Science Foundation The research ondesign theory of the main motion system in the sintering machine without arching. Firstly,the article described the structure of the major components, the main parameters of thetraditional belt-type sintering machine and the main differences between traditionalsintering machine and even-teeth sintering machine. The model of large-scale odd-toothsintering machine was established by using SolidWorks and simulation analysis wasdone by using ADAMS. The movement parameter variation curves of pallet car's lineand tail sprocket wheel were obtained, and the cause of velocity fluctuation was foundout. The study results can provide theoretical basis for the solution to the problems invelocity fluctuation in future.Secondly, the resistance torque-loading device was applied to the traditionalsintering. By the force analysis of the pallet car under the rail and tail sprocket wheels,the range of required thrust force which can ensure the normal movement of the lowercars line and the tail sprocket wheel torque without arching was received. Then dynamicsimulation analysis by using ADAMS was done, and the simulation results verified thecorrectness of the force analysis. In addition, The movement parameter variation curvesof the pallet cars and the tail sprocket wheels were received.Lastly, the connecting shaft of the tail steels was designed by the way of interferenceconnection, and the method of design calculation was given. The analysis of the connecting shaft by using ANSYS verified the rationality of the design and usability.
