This paper studied the outfit and technology of compacting-fuel-modeling under the background of application of biomass energy, which also discussed the rapid design method of model equipment on the base of 3D¶metric design theory.The main components are as follows:1. Relying on the forestry commonweal special business-woody bush resource promotes the technology of desert vegetation recovery, and the introduced project"948"compacting densification model technology of biomass resource, we have developed one kind of open mold hydraulic piston type biomass briquetting machine. We have also done lots of experiments of biomass material condensing model with this type of machine, which tested feasibility of the mold method and tried to figure out the best molding parameter. According to the outcome of experiments, adding necessary improvement to the prototype machine, including feeding mechanism. Hall-switch, shield plate, to make out of a kind of open mold hydraulic piston type biomass briquetting machine under normal temperature, one product can be regarded as relatively perfect.2. Proposing a customer-centric, object-oriented, knowledge-based variant design philosophy. Establishing a kind of frame structure depending on molding machine rapid design within the platform of SolidWorks firstly, on the basis of further studying about fundamental methods of machinery production rapid design. The design idea is:differentiating the functional part of machine; setting up a essential parametric model library of the molding machine which is conducive to variant machine design; with the aid of Visual Basic.Net programming system, achieving the purpose of secondary development of SolidWorks:resulting in the consequence of rapid design---3d environment data entry.3d model, automatic output of 2d-engineering drawing.3. Building parametric model with the application of SolidWorks 3d-machine design tool, parting the modules of mold machine relying on analysis about structure and working process, ensuring the connecting and restricting relationships among each module, employing the combined modeling methods--topdown & downtop, then judging by the analysis of performance of whole molding machine and parameters of various kinds of components, finally building up the digitized model of molding machine, and the designer can design a new kind of production by modifying the relevant parameter.4. By means of programming control programs by Visual Basic.Net, establishing the user interactive interface and rapid design system of open mold hydraulic piston type biomass briquetting machine. This special system which makes a seamless connection with the SolidWorks can make out different kinds of production that consumers want. And the experiments prove that the system can automatically calculate the main design parameters according to the desired product specifications and customer requirements and other types of molding material information from man-machine interface, the main design parameters can drive the module of machine changes in 3D design environment, it can induce the design circle, decreasing the pressure of designers, but increasing the qualities of productions and diminishing the cost of research.The developing of open mold hydraulic piston type biomass briquetting machine under normal temperature and the studying of rapid design importantly pushed the invention of biomass molding equipment forwards, and opened up a new practical design approach.
