Graft copplymers Was synthesized by graft copolymerization of starch with vinyl-monomers in inverse emulsion. Grafting production as flocculant used on disposal of waste water, has outstanding capability.Grafting copolymerazation in inverse emulsion can synthesize product with high molecular weight and high concentration of graft copolymer. Initiate can increase grafting efficiency in low temperature .Catalyst-heteropoly tungsto phosphoriccompound substituted by transition metal ion (DWG) ,used graft copolymerization in system of oxidation-deoxidation was preparatived. Graft copolymerization of starch with vinyl-monomers in inverse emulsion initiated in low temperature. The graft copolymerization was carried out in the systems of peroxydisulfate and peroxydisulfate -carbamide and peroxydisulfate -carbamide-DWG and benzoyl peroxide-dithionite sodium-DWG as initiators . The effects of different initiator and temperature of initiating and value of pH and different ratio of initiator on the monomer conversion and grafting ratio and grafting efficiency and specific viscidity have been discussed. Used catalyst DWG in process of initiating, temperature of initiating debased 10~20"℃.The graft copolymerization was carried out in the systems of non-ion surface active agent or fatty acid and salt of fatty and the their mixture respectively as emulsifier . The effect of different emulsifiers , emulsification method , emulsifier concentration on the monomer conversion and grafting ratio and grafting efficiency and specific viscidity have been discussed. Result of experiments showed: mixture surface active agent as emulsifiers better than the singleness surface active agent. The mixture of Span20 and OP4 as emulsifiers , or mixture of oleic acid and oleate sodium on 60:40 , monomer conversion and grafting ratio and grafting efficiency and specific viscidity reached max.Effect of sodium halogenide and sulfate and salt of low carbon organic acid on grafting copolymerization of starch with acryamide was studied . Result of experiments showed: sodium fluoride advanced grafting copolymerization ,sodium chloride and sodium bromide and sodium iodide slowed grafting copolymerization, Slowed degree was Nal > NaBr >NaCl. Sodium sulfate increased speed ofmonomer conversion , grafting ratio was fixedness; magnesian sulfate debased speed of monomer conversion and grafting ratio; ferrous sulfate debased speed of monomer conversion and grafting ratio enormously; cupreous sulfate ased speed of monomer conversion and grafting ratio ,but extent less than ferrous sulfate. Formic sodium increased speed of monomer conversion, but debased grafting efficiency and specific viscidity; acetic sodium and propionate increased speed of monomer conversion.Grafting copolymer with different electricity character and different electricity distributing and electricity consistency synthesized by acrylamide(AM) anddiallydimethyiammonium chlorid ( DMDAAC ) and N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methlacrylate(DM) and N,N,N-trimethylaminoethyl methlacrylate ammonium chlorid and N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methlacrylate betaine, and crylic acid (AC). The products was flocculant with good flocculation capability in dealing with butchery polluted water and China clay polluted water.
