In this thesis, the method for predicting subsidence is studid, under the curved surface distribution coal seam and any shape of face. The method which a complicated folding structure coal seam is classed as a monoclinal structure coal seams in terms of fold axis is adopted, and the method of surface integration is introduced. The subsidence models for unit subsidence basin and unit level movement are established in three-dimensional space. The formulas for predicting the surface subsidence, incline deformation, curvature deformation, level movement, horizontal deformation, the area of mined coal seam, the area of subsidence trough, the volume of subsidence basin are deducted, and the formulas for solving the parameters in prediction formulas are inferred. All softwares of the SPDP system are programmed, and are comprehensively tested by the test technique of computer. The calculated data are checked by the measured data, and also the results on the test and check are satisfactory to us for the design and engineering requirements.
