The government published relevant regulations including "Regulations for National Archaeological Site Park (Draft) ", and "Detailed Evaluation Standard for National Archaeological Site Park (Draft)". Existing researches remain within the confines of demonstrating the need for construction or analyzing social problems of the sequences of construction etc. As for the planning, construction, management and operation of the park in practices, the research remains blank. This paper stands in the background of landscape architecture and planning professional to study systematic planning and design management model of the National Archaeological Park, yet it has positive and practical significance for the theoretical construction of the National Archaeological Site Park, also has positive explore and useful supplement for the planning and design of the National Archaeological Site Park. The research method is a combination of the theory and practice. Based on summary and review of cases on great sites protection abroad and the progress in China, the paper makes in-depth study of existing Archaeological Park cases in China, combined with relative theories of great sites protection planning, landscape and famous scenery planning, cultural relics protection units planning, to discuss the planning and design of the National Archaeological Site Park. On the basis of refined characters and common induction, an operating mode is proposed for the National Archaeological Site Park planning and design. The research results involve all extent of the planning work of National Archaeological Site Park, including analysis, valuation, planning theory, technical support, operating mode, range delineation, partition layout, display protection, legal system and operation management. The results also propose corresponding working principles and solutions on various stages of planning. The theoretical analysis, combined with the planning project of Wuxi Hong Shan National Archaeological Site Park, promote further research of the thesis, and the integration of theory and practice bring the thesis more practical guiding significance. In conclusion, National Archaeological Site Park is effective way to protect the Great sites according with our country's conditions. It is engineering composed of a complex set of site protection, display and use, as well as a comprehensive problem of multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral challenges. The planning and construction of the National Archaeological Site Park must be under the guidance of consistent archaeological work, to protect, display and use based on the theory of dynamic programming, to demonstrate the use of universal access to the results of site protection. This paper explores a creative way of National Archaeological Site Park planning and design in accordance with China's national conditions and characteristics of the times, and initializes a frame system of the National Archaeological Site Park planning and design management. Also, an example is given for the reference of related projects of the planning, approval and management.
