In our country, research on archaeological site park has begin in 5 years, study of related planning is in its infancy that study still stay in the level of universal concepts of planning system and the concept formulation of heritage park. theories and methods of relative planning and design yet need to be improved.Luoyang Suitang ancient city lasted more than 500 years from the first year of the Daye period of Sui Dynasty (603A.D.) to the late Song Dynasty. After years of exploring and archaeology. Suitang Luoyang City Site has basically been clear which is important archaeological data of the city construction of Sui and Tang dynasties in our country. One hand the contradiction between historic preservation and city construction is prominent due to that the large site is located in the intersection of the old and new areas of Luoyang city and completely surrounded by city proper;On the other hand, the site is time-honored but limited value of appreciation. These characters make how to deal with the relationship between the village and site, how to effectively display site become the emphases and difficulties in planning and design of Luoyang Suitang ancient city national archaeological site park.Firstly this paper analyze and summarize the types of the current national archaeological site park through literature analysis, field research, comparison research, etc. Three kinds of site parks based on site location are proposed, that are suburbs site park、site park at fringe of city and site park contained by city.
