| At first, according to complex, random and indistinct characteristics of the traffic system, with the fuzzy control method, not established exact mathematic model, this paper presented traffic real-time fuzzy control method based on vehicles waiting queue in isolated intersection. Moreover, a fuzzy controller was designed and Matlab computer simulation was exploited to simulate system. The result showed that controller efficiency was satisfied.Then, aimed at the shortest time for vehicle waiting and the maximum of traffic flow in multi-phase intersection, author gave a multi-phase fuzzy control method, which uses current phase and next phase vehicles waiting queue to determine each phase time. Matlab computer simulation showed that the result was very good.At last, with the consideration of traffic signal control in an isolated intersection and the concept of composition-coordination of a large-scale system in system engineering, a two-level's hierarchical structure in urban traffic time control was proposed. At the first level, cycles and splits of the traffic lights were determined by means of fuzzy logic controllers; At the second level ,offset between two adjacent intersection was determined by the fuzzy phase controller; The coordination between the two levels was done by using a fuzzy switch.In a word, the principle and method proposed in this paper, utilized fuzzy control method to control traffic light is not only practical and significant to simplify computer control algorithm of traffic signals but also improve efficiency of traffic control system. |
