The thesis is based on the divided situation of scientism and humanism in current architecture design. It tends to rethink current architecture design in wider field by scientific and philosophic analyzing, to establish the rational factor of combination with sciencism and humanism, to abtain the real and accurate understandings. The thesis puts forward the aim and principle of nonlinear-science in architecture design, in order to bring an active and rational notion in architectural design. Finally, it tends to search new scientific notion applying in architecture design, and make the human and architecture forward to'coexistence of human and nature'.The thesis focuses on answering the following questions, they form the relevant chapters:1. What are sciencism and humanism? What is the base of'coexistence of human and nature'? (Chapter 1)2. What is architecture design? (Chapter 2)3. What should architecture design be? (Chapter 3)4. What is the meaning of new scientific thinking in the architecture design? (Chapter 4,5 and 6)The base of'coexistence of human and nature'is discussed from scientific and philosophic aspects in the thesis. From the philosophic aspect, the base is the combination of subject and object. From the scientific aspect, the development of current science destroy the mistaking notion of subject and object by relational concept point, and provide the support to'coexistence of human and nature'in epistemology.The architecture design knowledge always include a process of knowledge'producing'----a process of criticizing and reconstruction, a process of rethinking and building. The thesis is on two different points. First, the background of criticizing and rethinking architecture is descripted in short, from modern criticizing figure, modern question in architecture design, modern criticizing in architecture design, and so on.
