The mechanism of it is reducing the content of NE, DA and 5-HT.The sedative and anticonvulsive actions of imperatorin are confirmed. The contents of NE, DA and 5-HT in brain are reduced, which indicates that the mechanism of its action is adjusting the concentration of the neurotransmitter in brain.It can reduce the viscosity of blood ang hold back platelet aggregation, but it does not influence the process of blood coagulation.Therefore, imperatorin is one of main substantial basis of the actions of Angelica dahurica.
