1. The development of a left ventricular aneurysm animal modelThis experiment study introduced a new acute animal model of left ventricular aneurysm on the basis of acute myocardial infarction .It included : â‘  Ligate the left anterior descending and left circumflex coronary arteries, cause acute and transmural myocardial infarction in large area; â‘¡Resect cardiac myocardium in the range of myocardial infarction ; â‘¢ Suture a large bovine pericardial patch to simulate acute left ventricular aneurysm. This animal model overcomes two shortcomings of previously model: First Consider the hemodynamics influence by the acute myocardial infarction; Second previously model produce little or no geometric change in radii of curvature of the ventricle .In our model We resected infracted myocardium interposition of a large bovine pericardial patch that could injury the global geometric and change radii of curvature of the left ventricle effectively, So the new model can coincidence more pathologic characteristic of left ventricular aneurysm and reflect the pathophysiology change of left ventricular aneurysm precisely.In order to analysis the different hemodynamic influence by left ventricular aneurysmectomy linear closure or patch ventriculoplasty in big or small left ventricular aneurysm. We produce two model groups -big and small left ventricular aneurysm model group by controlling ligated area of coronary arteries or the size of bovine pericardial patch. The aneurysm volume of small left ventricular aneurysm model is smaller than 50 percent of left ventricular chamber (UCG: 43.97%; Measure practicality: 33.46%). The aneurysm volume of big left ventricular aneurysm model larger than 50 percent of left ventricular chamber (UCG: 85.76%; Measure practicality: 51.34%).The average weight and the average cardiac weight of dogs in big left ventricular aneurysm group are similar to those of small left...
