Keratinocytes take part in the morphogenesis of pathologic scars, which has been more and more identified recently.Hypertrophic scar is a frequently- occurring disease in wound healing area, especially in China. In this study, we performed comparative proteomics analysis combined with cDNA microarray research on keratinocytes from normal and hypertrophic scar skin specimens. As a result, we found 6 differentially expressed proteins and almost 2,000 differentially regulated genes about hypertrophic scars.Furtherly, the results were tested by westerblotting, realtime PCR and morphological studies.Maspin, E-FABP and S100A9 were confirmed to be overexpressed in hypertrophic scar epidermis and convinced to take part in the morphogenesis of hypertrophic scars through different signal pathways. They are coming into being the potential targets for treating hypertrophic scars in our following studies.
