Kiyotoshi Yishen Huoxue Use Treatment Chronic Glomerulonephritis Clinical Research

Aim : To investigate the clinical framework for treating chronic glomerular nephritis (CGN) , using TCM methods. The crucial part of this research was the overall findings that supported the strategic framework of clinical treatments as practiced and administered by Professor Sun Wei in treating chronic glomerular nephritis.Method: 39 potential cases of CGN were investigated and the patients were treated with a series of herbal medications, once a day over a period of 3 months. Clinical observations and laboratory tests were done for patients before or after the treatments. Readings for Blood Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Low Density Lipoproteins (LDL) , Uric Acid (UA) , Creatinine, Blood Urea Nitrogen (BuN) and Urine Protein were recorded and compared.Results: Full recovery group had hit a score of 25.64%. Basic relief group scored at 43.6%, while partial relief group scored 12.82%, yielding a grand total score of 82.06%, which showed that Professor Sun's clinical methods in treating CGN were significant.
