Mongol Conquest of Jin Dynasty: A Study of Historical EventsGenghis Khan started a war toward Jin in 1211.The war lasted for 23 years, until Jin was destroyed in 1234.This dissertation studies the historical events of the war. In particular, we study the initial social and political conditions of Mongol and Jin before the war, the causes of the war, and most importantly, the unfolding of the war. The analyses are based on "Jin Shi", "Yuan Shi", "Mongol Shi", "Sheng Wu Qin Zheng Lu," and Stone Inscriptions of Jin.The war between Mongol and Jin progressed under a changing environment with both sides adjusting their own strategies and goals. Among other things, the following issues are also analyzed:(i) the initial objective of the war and the associated fighting strategies; (ii) the occupied territory conditions by Mongols; (iii)how Mu-Hua-Li absorbed the armed tyrannical surrendered to Mogols and used they as the pioneer offensive;(iv)O-Kuo-Tai's offensive strategies after the death of Genghis Khan; and (v) the resistance measures adopted by Jin. Lastly, We also analyzed the importance role played by "Han Ren Shi Hou" in the Jin-Mongol war, as well as the relationship among Xi Xia, Nan Song, Mongol, and Jin.
