In this research work not only the distinction and connection of the epithets of traditional dairy foods and meat products used by Mongolians live in Mongolia, Republic of China and Buryats live in Russia based on my field research data and previous research materials have been clarified, but also their custom related to the foods has been analyzed in certain levels from the view of the cultural linguistic aspects.Language is the reflection of the culture. The traditional culture which regards to dairy and meat products is the core of the Mongolian culture. Furthermore, the terms of Mongolian traditional dairy and meat products have been reflecting in vocabulary of Mongolian language for long time. Therefore knowing the terms of the traditional dairy and meat products is becoming the key to the understanding the culture and the traditional way of thinking of Mongolians.By conducting this research work we found out that concept that Mongolian traditional food product is not only the food but also it represents the Mongolian traditional culture and custom. Because the Mongolians live spreading through vast land, they name different things using same word, identical thing is named by different words and some special names occur in certain places only as well. This demonstrates the unique food culture of Mongolians.On the other hand, the research emphasizes the epithets related to foods have respective, symbolic and educational characteristics and revealed the Mongolian culture and cognitive distinction. Since the Mongolian unique culture and rite are transferred via language, this has to be considered as a contribution of Mongolians to Cultural Linguistics.In conclusion, keeping, inheriting, developing and protecting its custom, language and culture and enriching Mongolian vocabulary are vital and further research on epithets of the Mongolian food is important.
