Analysis On Custom Of Mongolian Folk Pattern

This paper is composed of six chapters. The first chapter is introduction which involves the survey of Mongolian folk patterns, a description of the main reasons of selecting the topics and research methods.The second chapter is about the classification of the Mongolian folk patterns. In this chapter, the Mongolian folk patterns are divided into animal patterns, plant patterns, geometry patterns and nature patterns.The third chapter is the usage of Mongolian folk patterns. This chapter includes the usage of Mongolian folk patterns in the clothing and equipment and the explanation of the custom in real usage.The forth chapter is the symbolic meaning of Mongolian folk patterns. In this chapter, the author analyzes the symbolic meaning of Mongolian folk patterns from the view of the symbolism of goodness and the symbolism of advocation, and divided the symbolism of goodness into the symbolism of wealth, the symbolism of auspiciousness, the symbolism of fullness and the symbolism of fastness. The symbolism of advocation is about the symbolic meaning of the sun, the moon and water etc.The fifth chapter is the conclusion of the paper. In this chapter, the author put forward her own point of view of origin, classification, usage and symbolic meaning of the Mongolian folk patterns.
