The analysis of the music text is the whole base and initial stage of all music research activities. The "Music-Analysis" should be understood as an activity of exploring both the general law in the world of masterpieces and the unique "State of Natural Structure" used by composers for expressing the law. Its trend is developing from special to common, from part to whole, from independent to consolidated, from analytical to comprehensive, improving in a spiral and optimizing dynamically.The dissertation bases on guidance of the theory "live music construction", with a clue of "perfect fourth-gene" in the secular song "L'homme arme" during Renaissance, whose live construction in different works as a common core is researched, whose trail of development of becoming "gene" in different layers is followed and whose cultural implications expressed by composers is explored.Framework of the dissertation:Introduction-the position and the road of development of music analysis activities are summarized; the core concept of "live music construction","core element","gene" and "process paradigm" is elaborated. Chapter1-the overall process of history development of "core element" is studied; the constructional characteristics of "perfect fourth-gene" in its primary stage from "constructing of longitudinal acoustics" and "extracting from horizontal motif" is discussed. Chapter2-Mass in Dufay's "L'homme arme" is explored and summarized; the "thinking of construction" such as "thinking of pitch-class sets","thinking of symmetry","thinking of multiple" etc are revealed, which benefit creativity of future generation. Chapter3-Mass in Palestrina's "L'homme arme" is explored and summarized; the main function of "perfect fourth-core element" in music construction and the common characteristics of "perfect fourth-core element" in different works as "Gene of Composer" are elaborated. Chapter4-the utilization of "perfect fourth-gene" in the18th century is generalized:its main state in the constructing of themes of Bach comparing with Palestrina is summarized and the construcion in representative works of Mozart and Beethoven is analyzed; the reason why it only becomes "Gene of Composer" of the latter is revealed by summarizing process paradigm of related works. Chapter5—the utilization of "perfect fourth-gene" in the19th century is generalized:the construcion in representative works of Chopin, Schumann and Brahms is analyzed; the characteristics of works of Schubert, Dvorak, Grieg, Liszt and Wagner etc is summarized; the implication in diversified ideology is discussed; then the conclusion that "perfect fourth-core element" is "Gene of Era" which belongs to the romanticism in the19th century and "Gene of History" is generalized. Conclusion-the characteristics of macro-evolution of "perfect fourth-gene"'s position of utilization and its style and features of construction are summarized; the position of this dissertation in analytic system of "live music construction" is cleared and the direction of future research is told.The conclusions of this dissertation generalizing from systematic analysis of live construction of "perfect fourth-gene" in "physical" layer, build up further theoretic foundation for discovering implication of aesthetics and philosophy of music in "metaphysical" layer, and provide solid evidence in theory for restoring the truth of music history in the maximum extent.
