Research On Implicit Chinese Learning

There are too much criticism in Chinese teaching and learning,meanwhile,there are a lot of studies and reformation in this field. We should deeply understand the characteristics of Chinese and the rule of language learning to construct the proper system for Chinese learning. The research on implicit learning illuminates our studies on Chinese teaching and learning.This dissertation studies on the proper methods of Chinese learning from the theoretical and empiristic view. Chapter 2 demonstrate the difference between Chinese and Indian-European language,as a result,we should find the suitable way to teach Chinese. Furthermore,language is developmental and intangible,and this kind of knowledge is suitable for implicit learning,because implicit learning has advantage in leaning the more difficult and more intangible materials. The recent precis of Chinese teaching and learning brings out the aim of Chinese learning- that is to develop the language sense. From the psychology and linguistics view,language sense is implicit knowledge,which can be learnt by implicit learning.hi order to validate the theories of implicit Chinese learning which are demonstrated in chapter2,chapter 3 includes three parts. The first is the investigation on the level of students' language sense and the influential factors. The result is the students with different level of language sense are evidentially different hi reading quantity,writing quantity and the attitude of taking part in activities,and are not different in language knowledge,which is partly demonstrate implicit learning can develop the language sense. The second part is the experiments in analytical and synthetical language knowledge. We design the explicit plus explanation way to contrast the effects of implicit way and explicit way,and two lands of methods to evaluate the effects of those three kinds of learning methods. The results of experiment 1 and experiment 2 show that there are implicit effects in learning synthetical language knowledge,which enhances over long lags,moreover,explicit plus explanation way is not better except for the examination of summarizing the rules. In the third part,we design experiment 3 and experiment 4,and we find that implicit learning play important role in learning attitude,especially,the implicit attitude can keep from disturbing hi some circumstance.In chapter 4,we suggest that we should not overlook the important role of implicit learning in Chinese teaching and learning,developing the attitudes,especially in developing language sense,and summarize the characters of implicit Chinese learning.
