The linguistic turn calls on us to pay attention to the inner of literature, where the discourse theory impels us to think much of the exterior. Fueled by the linguistic turn, criticism is wild about all kinds of criticism means. Then on the effect of discourse theory, criticism approaches to culture studies. There is mutual benefit between them: literary criticism provides culture studies with plenty means and experience, as repay, culture studies makes literary criticism be active. In culture studies, we'd better attach importance to the discourse on mordernity and the one on ecology. The former shows us human being's self-examination on his history and culture and exploration for his future. Where the latter means human being begins to break out the trap of self-centered.
