A Study On Re-writing Of Tang Novel

This paper consists of three parts:Sort out and sum up the achievement of Tang Novel re-writing;inquure into the variety of theoretical problems caused by the peculiarity of re-writing;through studying the individuals,tracing the developing of subjects,practise,as well as test theoretical topics raised in this paper.Later generations' re-writing of Tang Novel is dealed with in the second chapter of this paper,and in the related appendices.First,the writer makes sample survry as well as total survey of the novels and traditional operas which are related to the subjects of Tang Novel.Then obtain a certain analytical results,while judging,the universality and depth of Tang Novel's great influence on literature of later ages(form the writers' angle and form the texts' angle).The results show clearly that Tang Novel has everlasting,stable and large-scale influence on later ages' literature.In its chapter One,Three,Four,Five and Six,This paper focuses on the theoretical problems of re-writing.They mainly concern about subjects suet as:the object of re-writing,the basic concept,the definition,the characters,the medium factors that develop re-writing,and the subjective and objective reasons which cause the forming of re-writing. ,Finally,the paper takes "补江总白猿传" as an example,while tracing the origin of the subject,sets it as the model and affirms its siginficance in the developing of this subject.Then the writer explores the re-writing of this novel in a large scope of the novels and operas in Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasty.This paper's main conclusions are as follow:First,the Tang Dynasty with Tang Novel is a very important phase and medium which has great influence on the maturity of Chinese ancient narrative literture.After a long period of accumulation during Song Dynasty,Tang Novel was accepted and spread by later generations.Afterwards,it made a great breakthrough in the field of\ rnovel and traditional opera in Yuan-Ming-Qing period.The reasons of re-writing have inner links with the folio wing :the tradition that Chinese culture thinks highly of history;the achievements and creative styles of Tang Novel;the re-writing conception of Song Novel theory;the literature history background in which narrative literature combines closely with performance;the whole society shows great interest for literture and accelts it with great enthusiasm,especially the various psychology of scholars.Secondlly,because of the dependent characteristic,re-writing shows the nature of acceptance on literature at the first place.Re-writers firstly are acceptors of literture.Under this kind of premise,re-writing has the nature of literture creation,therefore,re-writers are real writers.lt is impossible for re -writing to shake off the accumulations and marks of current literature,so the works of re-writing are also a kind of spreading way to dependent objectives and re-writers are also persons who spread achievements in previous literature.meanwhile,re-writing doesn't mean to copy dependent objectives mecharically but to express its own accepting attitude.So to some extent,re-writing is also a kind of critical way on literature and re-writers also have the nature of literature critics.The work of re-writing are usually outcomes of the times and most of them carry spirit intentions of times culture.Therefore.mey are links of history and current times.This is the main reason that decides re-writing to have its own self-value.Thirdly,re-writing is a kind of unique way ofcreation.lt provides a kind of angle of understanding,that is knowing the influence of literature by inrestigating the acceptance and spreading way on literature.Thus the internal reason why literature has been developed and evolved constantly can be revealed.This kind of special way to link up ancient literature and current one and also an important method to link up history and current culture and literature exchange.Doing some research on re-writin...
