The dissertation is a monographic study of Jian'an literature.Taking topics as "the head rope" and criticism relative to them as "the meshes", chapter 1 and 2 are supposed to arrange the critical data about Jian'an literature left over by the ancients. For example, under the topic of so-called "Jian'an-style", the ancients' criticism relative to it is put together, by which contemporaries can have a deep understanding of the artistic characteristics of Jian'an literature.Chapter 3 is a review of the study of Jian'an literature in the 20th century intending to display the important and typical study achievements as comprehensively as possible. The author's own opinions appear in the review time and time again.Chapter 4 discusses the relation between Caocao and Jian'an literati. It's the author's viewpoint that due to some reasons, Caocao could not attach much importance to Jian'an literati, could not put them in important positions too. Jian'an literati's elegies caused by their lofty aspirations unrealized are an important component of the literature in Jian'an period.Chapter 5 and 6 focus on the event that Caopi and Caozhi vied for the status to become a crown prince; probe into the whole story from beginning to end, and it's great influence as well. Some new views are put forward. For instance, the event came into being after 211 AD; To Caopi, the more frightful threat is Dingyi(for "丁仪" ) and Dingyi(for "丁廙 ") but not Yangxiu, etc.
