The reading of learning difficulty students is well concerned in contemporary cognitive psychology study. With the careful research, it will benefit the instructional effects and as well improve the reading ability in the learning difficulty students. However, the previous research in this domain exposed its vulnerability that cannot guarantee the researching objectivity only by analyzing reading results to deduce the reading process.Based on intensive research and literature covered, this study is to explore the eye movement features of the learning difficulty by recording the subjects' eye movement. The advantages are: 1) simultaneous measurement while reading 2) subjects are under normal reading scenario without disturbance 3) the datum of subjects' eye movement are correctly recorded, guaranteed by the sensitive " 3200R Eye Movement Monitor produced by American Applied Science Laboratory" recording instrument, capturing the eye movement datum at the speed of 50 times per second.Subjects are strictly selected on scientific criteria. Subjects labeled "learning difficulty" refer to those normal in intellectual development and no physical deficiencies; however, their learning performances are too weak to meet the national syllabus required. Therefore, subjects must meet the following criteria: 1) the major courses' (Chinese and mathematics) scores of middle and final terms are in the last 10% in the class. 2) The general evaluation on the subject marked "poor" by chief teacher. 3) The overall IQ is above 90 in Raven test. 4) No obvious illness existed both mentally and physically, no brain injury history. The aim of learning is to master the information useful. This information is expressed in various forms: character, poeticism, figure and letter. So this study is to explore the eye movement features of the learning difficulty in reading from the prospects of reading the text, reading the letter, seeing the picture and target searching as well, which divides into two stages and consists of five experiments. Purposes of the study are: 1) to explore the existing problems of the learning difficulty by eye movement study tentatively 2) to explore the eye movement feature of the learning difficulty students in reading the text, reading the letter, seeing the picture and target searching 3) to compare the eye movement's difference among the poor, average and excellent students 4) to explore the eye movement mode of the learning difficulty in reading processBased on the results, we have a discussion on: 1) the comprehension scores of the learning difficulty in reading process 2) the eye movement feature of the learning difficulty in reading process 3) the relations between eye movement problems and reading efficiencies. Conclusions from the results of a series of experiments shows that: 1. The reading comprehension and efficiency of the learning difficulty is poor and coherence also found in reading the text, letter processing, picture apprehension and target searching. In reading, the learning difficulty students' attention is restricted to the fragments, with the difficulty in comprehending the overall logic of the reading materials. The information retrieval is limited in each eye movement and difficulties in integrating information strongly influence the reading quality. To sum, there is a significant difference among the poor, average and excellent students.2. In the reading process of the learning difficulty, the fixation point lasts longer and takes much longer in overall fixation of the materials. Subjects are attached much importance in processing the fragment information which enables them to activate excessively both major and minor meaning, requiring much time to fix and integrate the material which extends the overall fixation time. And significant difference is seen among the poor, average and excellent students.3. In the reading process of the learning difficulty students, their distances of eye saccade and fixation spans are small whereas the increasing fixation on the m...
