On The Language Experiment Of The Chinese Avant-Garde Novel In The 1980's

The thesis is as the research object with Chinese avant-garde novel of the eighties of the 20th century .By the comparison of Chinese and foreign literature ,put it with the wide field of vision of the whole world literature.Then it discusses the orignal appearing .changing and development of Chinese native avant-garde novel which was under the influence of foreign linguitics and narratoloie theories and literature trend of western modernism and post-modernism, and its impact and subversion of the narration concept to traditional literature .The thesis focuss on making careful analysis to language example sentence and narration skills that avant-garde novelists apply to novel writing text deliberately.The thesis consists of five parts.The introduction summarizes the culture and literature enviroment that Chinese native avant-garde novels can be produced,and discusses the novelists display a avant-garde posture of challenge and rebellion,courage and adventuer,unique and blazing new trail while pratising language experiment and also discusses the response and researches taken by the Chinese critical circle to avant-garde novels at that time.The first chapter expounds the general situation about translation and introduction of western linguistics and narrtologie theories in China since the beginning of the new period.The translating and introduce in a large amount of the books of western theory promte the ideological trend of western literature spreading extensively and deeply, it has offered fresh and abundant theory resources and thought resources for Chinese literature world which door was closed for many years. From which the active novelist of younger generation draw great inspiration, and they show the positive response to the trend of western literature by their unique writing text of new novels,while the appearance of thenewly novel text also touched off a new round of translating and introduce the relativecritical theory of novel such as narratologie theory at same time.This chapter discusses the meaning of the language experiment carried by avant-garde novelists ,such as Ma Yuan,Hong Feng,Ge Fei,Yu Hua ,etc,from two respects which about suddenly changing of narration concept and blazing new trail to novel text.The second chapter analyses the narration skills such as metafiction,mock,absurd,significayion, metophor, ect, that, avant-garde novelists apply to novel writing that imitating from the novel of modernism , post-modernism with the concrete language examples. The third chapter probes into the language world to discuss the abundant language phenomenon showing in avant-garde novels. Regarding my reading experience of novel as the basis,the chapter takes its ownanalysis.sum up and judge the example sentences carefully by taking skillful use of parts of speech,abnormal collocayion in phrase and different methods of rhetoric as the departure.The fourth chapter discusses the gain and the loss of the language experiment carried out by avant-garde novelists.also discusses their changing direction after the language experiment. The avant-garde language experiment protrudes the vigorous vitality of the novel language.its abnomal application on each parts of semanteme and grammar shows more possibility of language expressing. The avant-garde language experiment has offered a large amount of valuable language material for researchers, together with the language experience that can be used for reference for a new language development. However, becourse of excessive language operating,the avant-garde novels become too obscure to understand,therefore it had caused the drifting apart of the readers,and the imitating frequently the western works which also limits the avant-garde novel's achievable art achievement badly.So after experiencing the radical language experiment,some avant-garde novelists are inclined to pursuing the meaning rebuilding and returning to poem quality while creating their new novels.
