The "world" Learning Introduction

As a famous classical work, Shih-Shuo Xin Yu has a very profound effect upon the Chinese traditional culture; and studies focused upon the work Shih-Shuo have a very long history. Based upon the studies of the predecessors, this article aims at a clear and thorough study of the Shih-Shuo Studies. And also we'll try to perform a profounder study of this great work.This article is divided into two books. The first book mainly deals with the history of Shih-Skuo Studies, And in it we put forward the new conception of the Shih-Shuo Studies. It analyzes and discusses the following problems concerning the studies: title, classification, pattern, system, historical period-division and future development. The second book holds such a view that the research of the Shih-Shuo Studies should include the following six branches: document, literary style, aesthetics, acceptance, language and culture. And the research forms of it are historically divided into the four separate developing systems, namely edition, check and annotation, comment and punctuation, and imitating writings. This article focuses upon the variation of its acceptance and thus divides Shih-Shuo Studies into four different developing stages-the historiography period, the novel period, the phonology and philology period, and the synthetic period. It also puts forward a tentative idea about the future development of the Shih-Shuo Studies. The first book is the guiding to this article, and the principle in the actual writing as well.The second book mainly deals with the six branches of the Shih-shuo Studies, studying the Shih-Shuo in document, literary style, aesthetics, acceptance, language and culture. The research of its document is to make a thorough study of its original texts and even to compare many of the texts with its originals, so as to find out the truth of its editing progress with editing system details. The research of its literary style aims at clearing its style origin anil imitating trend. The research of aesthetics firstly put it under the great background of the history of Chinese aesthetics in order to throw light upon the Wei-Jin character aesthetics system, and also the direct effect upon the aesthetical requirement of vivid touch in painting and lifelike-figure painting artistry contributed to the quite complete theory system of recognition and methodology in figure painting during the Wei-Jin period, and then trying to interpret the present Shih-Shuo textual acceptability of the aesthetic space in a modern way. The research of the acceptance is centered upon readers choosing its dissemination during the Song, Qi, Liang, Chen dynasties and the Tang dynasty, the Yuan dynasty, the Ming dynasty as cases for the research, exposing its acceptance progress by readers from different ages in different ways. The research of the language-linguistics and culture tries to study the Shih-Shuo in two different points of views, and also to put forward two research programs of my own to the study of its linguistics.
