The researches of Chinese historical words and expressions concerned nowadays base on the Chinese traditional explanations of words in ancient books. Some western theories of contemporary semantics are also introduced and applied. Many contemporary disquisitions and monographs about certain book appeared too .Although, achievements are great, the researches on Chinese historical words and expressions are very deficient by now. The researches on the theory of historical lexics have just started .The commencement of Chinese historical lexics is very late and it also develops in a slow way , so it is not very consummate and deep studies are needed on both practices and theories . This dissertation studies the making and evolvement of Chinese words and Phrases basing on the related researches before .This research belongs to historical lexics, in which the development of Chinese words and phrases are discussed.This thesis studies the making and evolvement of Chinese words and expressions at two aspects: words and acceptation. On the basis of content and structure, the thesis is divided into two parts.The first part is the investigating about the making and evolvement of Chinese words and expressions, which relies on the accumulated regenerated words and transliterated loanwords in times of remote antiquity, ancient times, mediaeval times and the near ancient times. There are four chapters altogether, through theinvestigating of the morpheme sequel of Chinese syllable, the affix sequel of morpheme, the syntax sequel of the words and expressions, the words and expressions sequel of structure. We discussed the different ways of the making of Chinese regenerated words, found the inner relationships in the diachronic and contemporary trait in development and cleared the incentive of the making and evolvement of Chinese words and expressions.The first chapter is the study about the morpheme sequel of Chinese syllable, which has already been a question requiring systemic research of experts in a long time. It is said that the single morpheme complex tone word can not be separated any more. Recent studies from the experts majoring in the contemporary Chinese indicate that experts had realized phenomenon of the morpheme sequel of Chinese syllable, but simple discussions just have something to do with the current hot words such as "网吧" ,"的士".What's more, the confusion in the concept of the syllable and morpheme caused the wrongly attitude that the breviary in words is the same as the predigesting in morpheme. So, this thesis worked over the morpheme sequel of Chinese syllable in both historical and contemporary facets which affirmed the existence of the morpheme sequel of Chinese syllable since ancient times in spite of the limited examples, praising its important role in the making and evolvement of Chinese words and expressions. Some words even gained the lives through the process of the morpheme sequel of Chinese syllable. And the thesis also studied the process of the morpheme sequel of syllable in the transliterated or native single morpheme complex tone words in Chinese as well as the motivation of the morpheme sequel happened in single morpheme complex tone words.The second chapter is the affix sequel of Chinese morpheme research. By way of the study on the affix"阿"and "子", this article delivered a new point on the birth times of prefix "阿" and suffix "子". It is emphasized in this paper that prefix "阿" came from the first syllable verb element of the double appellation noun "阿", the transience meaning from the original " 阿 "coming from the structure" 阿 + noun/verb". It developed under the influence of the first syllable "阿" from thetransliterated abbreviative double syllable appellation noun and the former took the place of the latter at last. The springing of transliterated double appellation noun whose first syllable is " 阿"stimulated the development of prefix "阿" in the structure of double syllable appellation noun.
