Study Of The Disyllabic Words In Yi Yuan

Yi Yuan is a famous grotesque novel by Liu Song in Nan dynasty. The language is of strong colloquial color and full of the features of that era. It can reflect trend of polyphonic development and characteristics. This article wants to study polyphonic words of Yi Yuan in order to discuss norm and characteristics of polyphonic words in Nan dynasty.This article includes three Parts:The first part is introductory remarks. It's concern with the introduction of Yi Yuan, the value of study and the method using in study.The second part is the text. This work is tremendous, and it is the emphases of the paper. The text concludes three chapters.The first chapter, make clear the dividing limits. Getting rid of the single-syllabic words and Phrases, searching out all in this book and calculating the sum.In the second chapter,the paper classifies all disyllabic and polysyllabic words into coordinative compounds,subordinate compounds,verb-object compounds, Subject-predicate compounds,affixations,reduplications and so on. The paper studies the construction characters of each sort disyllabic and polysyllabic words thoroughly. The method is: describing the construction mode of disyllabic and polysyllabic words from the aspects of acceptation,partof speech,word order.The third chapter is under many defects such as quotations lagging, paraphrases improper and so on in the Ci Yuan are corrected or redressed in the process of the research on lexical phenomena in Ci Yuan. The research may offer an important datum to compilation of dictionaries.The third part, according the achievements of predecessor, contrasting the construction conditions of the disyllabic and Polysyllabic words in Yi Yuan with that in Nan dynasty, summing the succession and development of the disyllabic and polysyllabic words in Yi Yuan on construction.Through studying on the subject, I hope to provide valuable material for the research of the history of Chinese and reference of standardizing and enriching the vocabulary of Chinese.
