As an important concept of sociology and psychology, "Identity" (or "Culture Identity" ) has attracted great attention to the latest culture study circle, and it is being diverted or extended to the multicolored discourse of culture study.At the point of the day of China under the background of transition culture, "Identity Crisis" is being a profound problem. That is, on the one hand, elite culture is being replaced by mass commercial culture since the 1990th, on the other hand, our native cultural imagination is deeply influenced and shocked by the facts of globalization of economy and culture.Based on the concept of Identity and the awareness of contemporary culture) this paper takes Chinese film circle (1983-2004 ) as research object, combing out many -sided culture identity in the context of transition culture, which including the identity of film philos described by critics, the cultural location of elite director, the cultural imagination of the masses itself of different social class, the identity establishing of China film. In a sense, It is the multilateral talks between director, critics, audience and managerial system that decide the tendency of such sophisticated culture identity.This paper is composed of five principle parts. At first, during the tripartite talk between critics, politics and market, the author tries to study how the turn of dominant discourse of film philos happen. And then, focusing on the ideology atmosphere since 1990th, the paper points out and interprets the identity replacement and evident cracks of the 5th generation directors. As to the directors of the new generation, nostalgia/suspension /face-this three faces of modernity in their movies can not only beseen as their individual culture identity, but also the reflection of the masses of different social stratum on the process of modernization. At last, this paper put Chinese film under the forceful influence of globally broadcasted Hollywood film and global mass culture taste, during the tripartite talk between the masses, directors and system, putting forward an enlightening strategy for the diversified culture identity of Chinese film in the near future.
