On Wang Jiaxin's Poem Creation Transformation

Among China contemporary poets, Wang Jiaxin is well-known for his hard-working and achievements. Since the 1970s, he have experienced many times of changes and adjustments to strive for the poetry style suitable for him, which has demonstrated his special literature temperament and has had great influence in China literature circles, especially the works created by him between the late years of 1980s and the early years of 1990s, the period of creation transformation. This paper will focus on the transformation, discuss his creation features before and after the transformation, more attention to the features after the transformation, and then explore the reasons for his transformation and the significance as to excavate his special creation style and contributions to China literature.The first part is the discussion about his creation before the transformation (1979—1988). Influenced by misty poetry trend, his early poems were full of strong historical, cultural, and life conception, in intention style and simple language. In the hurly of the third generation poetry, he had been industrious in thinking and exploration to express his psychological dilemma by way of writing, so that the poems had became cool and dignified.The second part is the discussion about his creation after the transformation (after 1989). In the 1990s of poetry marginalization, he paid more attention to poem and poet's awkward condition and expressed his conception of sharing social reality and writing. He emphasized the excavation of deep image and made use of narration, intertextuality and dramatization and other ways to enrich poetry forms, and made a brave practice in elegy writing, which made him the main figure in poem sector of 1990s.The third part is mainly on the reasons for his transformation and the significance. The influence of social reality, the internal development demand of poetry and his individual poetic conception change are the main reasons for his transformation. The transformation, as to himself, has demonstrated his firm and steady literature temperament, as to contemporary poetry, has advanced and practiced intellectual writing and individual writing poetic propositions, having kept its pure and exquisite arts taste, and the writing conception into the internal of language also has popular influence. The concluding part is mainly on his essential characteristic, the sincere arts attitude that has remained the same in transformation and adjustment. At the same time, this part gives a general description of his new creation trend during the past years, that is, his attention to local everyday life experience, stronger language affinity and fluency, which has brought new feeling to the readers.
