Vocal ci(歌辞) is essentially the products of constructing the music culture and subject to the need of music cultural activities. It is music singing ci recorded by language in modality and gains strong literary characteristics thus to get both music significance in musical culture system and literary significance in language and culture system from the culture property. At the same time, vocal ci has its multifeature in terms of practical modality of musical culture. And all these make it the important significance in the development history of Chinese poesy, that is, all, including the music styles and the dualism-feature-function of vocal ci, has close relationship with it, which includes the formation and development of Chinese poesy styles, the ups and downs of the theme of vocal ci, the establishment of its manners and models.The intercrossing and dualism of vocal ci culture and the multifeature of music practical modality is the important gist for people to study the vocal ci of the music mansion from the background of musical culture and have achieved a lot. Yet, the researchers from music visual threshold lack attention to the significance of poetic history and those from the cultural visual threshold lack attention to its music foundation and its unique function based on literary features. Thus, this paper tempts to find out the relationship between the music background and the literary development of vocal ci, scanning and describing from the cultural constructing and idiographic music activities at that time, to understand the dualism significance of vocal ci and explain several questions about the literature of vocal ci and literature history brought by this. And it is divided into two parts, according to the theme and the basic idea of what to discuss, with the first part 'Study on history of constructing the music and culture from Weijin Period to South-North Dynasty' and the second 'Special Study on culture of vocal ci from Weijin Period to South-North Dynasty'.The first part mainly pays attention to the dynamic investigation to the background of music culture, which, on the one hand, discusses the basic policy of the constructing royal court music culture as well as the influence on music culture and producing from vocal ci brought by the policy of royal court music culture and the music culture activities of the monarch. So as to get a more clear opinion about the music culture background of the formation of vocal ci by literators.The second part mainly discusses the basic existing state of the formation, consuming and spreading of literators' vocal ci during that time, and analyzes the historical tache of the symbiosis and abruption of ci and music from the point of view of motivation of literator's invention, its singing room and ways of spreading, and the significance of poesy history brought by it. It will be discussed in eight chapter based on this cognition frame.The first chapter trims the development and vicissitude of the folk music and theconstructing process of royal court music culture during Weijin Period and the relationship between them. As for the relationship between qingshang melody (清商曲) and xianghe song (相和歌), the author puts forward that the naming of xianghe song and its music melody doesn't appear at the same time but experienced long before the complete parallelism of xianghe song and 'the Thirteen Melody' till the Record Skills of Yan Music Zhengsheng and Records of Song Dynasty (《宴乐正声技录》) , in which xianghe song is used to indicate the Thirteen Melody. So all 'the songs for xianghe' is 'xianghe song', nor does the qingsang melody is sung as xianghe. Xianghe song is part of qingsang melody, and the three-melody is developed based on xianghe song. So the two are both qingsang melody originated from music.
