Yu Guangzhong is a well-known modem poet and scholar in Taiwan .Eighteen collections of poems have been published during the past fifty years. He has carried forward traditional Chinese literature,while drawing on the arts of western countries.The oriental and western cultures both have great influences on his poems. He devotes himself to bringing forth creative ideas to poetic artistry constantly,so he can be called a great master of poetry.His poetic style is rich and varied.He is a poet who has explored the artistic skills of poetry the most in Taiwan.The poems that show his great aspiration and ideals are magnificent and majestic.The poems that describe his homesickness and love are delicate and tender. He opens up a new path to the development of modern Chinese poetry.
