Title of the Dr.degree's Thsis: The Evolution of Poetry's Style in the Period of Tang with The Chan Sect of BuddhismIntroduction of the Author: Hu Sui,female,born on November1956.Under the guidance of prof.Zhan Fu Rui,He was awarded the Dr.Degree of ancient Literature at Hebei University in 2005.Abstract: This article delves the relationship between the evolution of poetry's style in the period of Tang and The Chan sect of Buddhism in four section to reseach deeply a fact that under the historical very pomp of the Chan sect's development and innovation in the period of Tang,how does the style of Tang's poetry appear out actually which attitude , vogue and appearance in different times with various influence,in which involves the reseach on the synchronous development of The Chan sect's thinking and poetry's theory and creation in the same circumstances of historical politics and social cultural mentality,for the very particulars that the theory of the Chan sect of Buddhism and the appearance of poetry's style in the period of Tang are the product of a same times and the reflexion of the people's psychological requirement and spiritual pursuance.By and large,in beginning of the Tang period,the development of The Chan sect's thinking's theory and the ethos of poetry's creation was synchronous in the main,their spiritual essence had a closely relationship with each other.From the middle of Tang period,with the widely acceptance of The Chan sect's thinking's theory by people and society,there came out a complexion principally that The theory of Chan sect influented and pervaded into the tendency of poetry's style.To sum up,the Chan sect's theory: Buddhism's nature and the showing of human's mentality,together with the poetry's theory, cosmos's core and description of the human's emotion are the total basis,all the phenomenons are based on them.In the Tang period's thinking and culture,the theory of Chan sect and the creation of poetry were from the basis that to achieve and transcend ego-bosom,but the appearance of various facts to show human's mentality and express emotion with different historical times and social ethos.
