Pop art movement was born in England in the 1950's. In 1960's American pop art emerged on the basis of its mature consumer culture soil.At the same time, pop art was also very popular in mainland Europe.In 1970's, some western artists strived on to expand pop art language and extended it to be an art strategy—pop strategy.In this way the artists made fine art attend the mass culture problems of their time.Pop art appeared in China after 1985. Several Chinese artists borrowed American pop art language to express Chinese culture experience,and it was called "political pop art".In the middle of 1990's, one branch of pop art—"gaudy art"was influencial in China.From 1950s utill now, fine art was deeply influenced by consumption logic.Since mass media culture became more and more important, the domain of fine art was very limited.In this situation, fine art pop strategy seems to be a very necessary and realistic choice.
