Yantielun is a political essays written by Huankuan of Runan, the west Han dynasty, based on the record of Yantie Conference. Yantielun has much value in the study of the Chinese of the West Han Dynasty, because its completed time is fixed and it was written in oral languages. Up to the present moment it is seldom to study Yangtielun from grammar angles. There are many space to study the grammar of Yantielun.In this essay study all the function words of Yantielun is the research object. This paper is a special grammar study on Yantielun.The introduction of the essay firstly introduces the character and the value of materials ,and the conditions of reaches and editions of Yantielun. Then it describes the research object ,research methods. And it narrates the standard for distinguishing the function words and other correlative parts of speech.The basic part is divided into five parts, which fully describe the preposition, conjunction, auxiliary word , modal particle , exclamations, echo particle, and affix. This article fully inquires the characteristic of distributing , and identifies the using frequency and grammar function. Further more this essay try to use the production which have already possessed by academe to do synchronic analysis and diachronic comparison.There are one hundred and twelve function words and eight affixes in Yantielun, which are used eight thousand and one hundred and fifty-three times. Conjunction is the biggest part . Secondly are preposition . Exclamations and echo particle are minimum. There are only 2 exclamations and 4 echo particle in Yantielun.In the appendix of the paper, we research on the passive form in Yantielun.
